Demystifying the Four Core Concerns about Outsourcing

There have always been misconceptions about outsourcing, from the idea that it delays turnaround time to a lack of quality work.

The bottom line is in today’s global economy, outsourcing is vital, if not necessary, in order to succeed. It reduces costs, improves focus on core business, and enhances service quality to name a few benefits.

So rather than excusing this opportunity because of these concerns, let’s address them straight on.

Delays Turnaround Time

It’s actually 100% the opposite.  For instance, in our firm when your day ends at 5 pm, our Indonesian team is just starting their day.

In most outsourcing engagements, you send tasks to a partner that won’t see them till the next day. And they won’t have them accomplished until the day after that. Instead, you get to start your day having a full day’s worth of work finished.

Essentially, you are turning into a 24-hour accounting firm with your bookkeeping done overnight.

A lack of security

When you are sending sensitive data online, the right processes keep you secure, not proximity to executives. In fact, PCI and HIPAA certification consist of processes and procedures, not technology and geography.

Borders don’t exist online. You could be 10 feet or 10,000 miles away and if the procedures for transferring information are not secure, a breach or data loss is possible.

In one example, a company in Miami that found out their employees were emailing sensitive information. Bank reconciliations, credit card info, and other internal financial documents were being sent to their personal Gmail accounts. They were only doing that so that they could work at home. The company’s servers would otherwise restrict the transfer. While this was well-intended, security processes exist to prevent loss.

This was a serious data breach done within the US, within Miami, and within the individuals at one company.

Implementing good process coupled with tools for securing and encrypting data, such as Dropbox, ensure the secure transfer of data. Furthermore, physical security is easily addressed.

For instance, in our Indonesian offices’ personal phones, cameras, storage, and other devices are not allowed in offices to protect our clients’ data. Web access is also restricted to only work related sites. Maintaining the process structure will ensure your information security far better than a specific team member.

Negative Perception

At Dinamis, we offer rewarding careers in professional fields and maintain safe and clean conditions. These are careers that would otherwise be unavailable to some of our team members based on their education level, ethnicity, and even their gender.

In more traditional countries throughout the world, women aren’t afforded the same opportunity for upward mobility as men. We make it a priority to open opportunity to all of our talented team members.

Poor quality

Poor quality is unacceptable from anyone. When outsourcing, you don’t want to pay to have work re-done by employees at a higher rate. Especially higher than what it cost to have done in the first place. This concern again falls back on manufacturing and the idea of “cheap labor” being unable to produce quality work.

We can’t speak for every outsourcing organization but in our most recent report, we were below 2% error rate. In most instances, we were able to outperform our partners’ stateside staff in accuracy. The outsourced Dinamis team members you bring on learn your processes and are dedicated specifically to your company’s work.

Be a positive agent in the world

Your business will benefit from outsourcing, but more importantly, you will be a positive force in the lives of others around the world.

Having an impact for good is one of our values. We aim to provide incredible value to not just our stateside partners, but our team in Indonesia.  Let us know how we can partner for everyone’s good today.
